WANDA: I’ve always been a caretaker. I’ve always had a big heart. I’ve always loved to help people in any way that I can. And when I could not take care of my sister, I knew, then, that it was time for me to take care of me.

Super: THE MOMENT OF REALIZATION

WANDAHi, my name is Wanda and I’m from Sardis, Georgia. I am a registered nurse. I’ve been in the medical field for 30 years. I have two children, a boy and a girl. I have five grandchildren and about eight great-grandchildren. And I have been diagnosed with COPD, approximately two years. My perfect fun day would be to get up and my grandbabies be there. And then we go outside, and we play or either we may take them to the lake and go fishing, and we take the dog with us. I didn’t know what was going on. Some of the symptoms were shortness of breath and tiredness. And it’s difficult for me to talk about because I got where I didn’t want to be around them as much. I could not go in my yard, I could not walk to my mailbox to check my mail. I just wanted to stay home.

WANDA: My sister and I have always been very close. And one morning I got a phone call. And it was her husband. And he said that he didn’t think that she was breathing. And she lived next door. And I just took off running. And I was out of breath and when I got there I didn’t have no breath. And I knew then something bad was wrong with me. And so, I needed to get treatment.

WANDA: When I went in to my doctor, I told him I was tired. I could not breathe like I normally breathe, and that he actually needed to do something for me because this was not me, normally. They ran a lot of tests and he said that I had COPD.

WANDA: I first became aware of ANORO when I was prescribed by the doctor, when I first was diagnosed with COPD. That was my first treatment.

WANDA: Maintenance therapy is not something that you can take and it can make you better. It’s gonna help you over the long run.

Super: Individual results may vary.

WANDA: And so they went ahead and started, the doctor started the ANORO and with each use I found I was doing better every day. All of a sudden, I just noticed I was breathing better.

Super: ANORO is only for COPD. Do not use ANORO if you have asthma.

VO: Do not use ANORO if you have asthma.
